This week, I thought I’ll try something more laid back and funny to see where it goes. I do love the company of men but I enjoy way more making fun of them ! Who doesn’t though ?
So I asked few different women to give me their view on this subject.
Here’s Ten reasons why you should NOT go back with your ex !
First, when you put something in your trash and the dumpster is gone… Guess what ? It’s too late for recycling ! So let him go wherever he’ll end up as long as it’s not back in the trash can of your yard ! Also Alice suggested that if it ended, you might not have been the right fit for him nor he wasn’t the right one for you ! So. Let. Him. Go !
Second, we live in a society of consumerism ! Nobody wants something old hanging around us like a smell of some left over food that lay somewhere in the apartment ! We are women for God sakes, WE know better than this ! Go to grocery and try a new flavor ! It’s not like your ex was the only men around you.
Third, if the sex is that good… Well, that’s a tough one. I won’t lie. There are so many, SO MANY, wrong guys out there for you and your ladies’ part. But you know what ? It’s a way to find what you like or not. Plus, I heard that, when you fall in love, it’s actually better. That could make sense. I guess you have to try right ? To fall in love with somebody else ? Don’t be afraid to go out there and find a better match for yourself and for your business !
Fourth, timing is everything. You know you had to learn something about this experience. Whether it was good or bad, you grew because of it. If it wasn’t the right time to settle down, he probably wasn’t the right one.
Fifth, no matter how much you use to or you still love him, he didn’t treat you with the Queen’s treatment you deserve ! You know that women tend to give more in and to the relationship than men. It’s in most DNAs and it’s sucks from time to time. There will be someone out there that is not only going to appreciate your involvement but actually recognize that without you, this couldn’t be possible.
Sixth. On why shouldn’t you go back to one of your exes question, Amber answers that it’s because… She loves her new boo ! It could be as simple as that and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it !
Seventh. You were so caught up in the relationship, you actually lost yourself. You lost your identity and what makes you YOU ! And maybe if he’d loved you right, he wouldn’t have let you so far to this point where you don’t know who you are anymore without him.
Eighth, everybody has a level of pride. We all agree that that surge of pride is not good for our soul. But we are still human beings and sometimes… just a few times, this can save you from nasty trouble. If he hurts your feelings, he shouldn’t be able to have access to it in the first place.
Nineth, when he’ll crawl back from where ever and try to come back into your life. Why wouldn’t he ? You are amazing ! So, while, begging you to try again, that he will be different, that like Rose’s ex said : «What we had was so good ! ». You guys. If it ended, that means, it wasn’t really that good ! Come on ! You know it, your mom knows it, your friends and family too, every-bo-dy know it ! What happened is, that he finally realized what he had lost : meaning you and your awesomeness ! And the two neurons fighting each other on the right way to conquer you again don’t know anything else but begging and covering you with presents ! Don’t fall for it ! Something great expect you after this ! It’s your ex for a good reason. Leave him where he belongs… in your past !
Because… Tenth ! « Don’t look back, the future is not behind you. » This catch phrase comes from an H&M t-shirt that Mariane loves. Do I really need to explain it ? It’s pretty simple and accurate, right ? Plus, there’s somehow at least one good reason on why your relationship ended in the first place. Otherwise, you still be together.
The truth is, you can do absolutely whatever your want. Like Nyasia for exemple, my friend is an incurable romantic. She believes that communication is the principal factor of being in a relationship. If you loose it but somehow can regain it, a relationship with someone that you love is worth fighting for.
There are every kind of people out there, every kind of relationship. To me, as long as you respect one another, you meet someone that you feel safe with and that treats you right, I trust that you can figure out the rest.
